The Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity,
unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. Locally, your Padre Francisco Garces
Council 9378 exemplifies this with many programs and activities within the church and community.
From these activities and events funds where set aside to donate to the various youth groups,
church projects and other religious and fraternal activities and events including but not limited to:
Church Projects as Requested by our Priests Religious Retirement Donation Vocation Funds Pro Life People with Intellectual Disabilities Keep Christ in Christmas Campaign Youth Basketball Free Throw Competition (we need some young men to chair and run this program) Soccer Challenge (we need some young men to chair and run this program) Tomb of the Unborn (maintenance this project is in badly need of volunteers) Help with parish Festival (always need volunteers) St. Joseph's Youth Camp donation ARCOIRIS local youth group donation A.M.E.N local group donation Alter Servers Annual Aid to Fourth Degree Assembly #20 Council Fixed Operation and Obligations Expenses Operation: County Fair Food Booth maintenance and preparation Supplies and merchandise for Breakfast Supplies, postage and administrative cost to operate the council Obligation: Supreme and State per Capita fee Supreme Catholic Advertising fee Supreme Culture of Life fee Fund Raisers: We could not operate our council with out the fund raiser and the time the members donate
from their daily life and family. We thank those how have giving their time, funds and dedication.
The council has 175 members of various levels on its roster, But only 10 percent are active in the
operation of the council and less than half pay their dues.
We desperately need our members to pay their due and to become active
members, attend council meetings and volunteer for the various activities and events.

Membership Yearly Dues: A source of income for the council it the dues each member pays. When you do not pay
your dues it reduces the ability of the council to meet its obligations. We have a membership
base of175 members, but less than half has paid their dues. When you
became a Knight you committed to support the Knights of Columbus and your local council.

Yuma County Fair K of C Council-9378 Food Booth: The Yuma County Fair food booth operation is the primary fund
raiser and brings in the bulk of the funds the council receives to cover its obligations
and donations to the various charities, groups and activities. Over the years it has been the same
member stepping up to keep this operation going. The problem is these member are getting old
and burn out. We are in need of new and younger members to step up and keep this very profitable
operation going. Volunteers please.

Church and County Fair Breakfast: During the Winter months and when our friendly winter visitor are here the
council conducts a monthly Sunday after mass breakfast. We need volunteers to keep
this fund raiser going.

Bingo Concession: The BINGO concession is another good fund raiser for the council. What do we need. We need
volunteers. This event has been canceled due to lack of volunteers.

State Raffle: A percent of the State raffle funds comes back to the council and goes directly to
Yuma Catholic High School Scholarship fund. So when State Raffle comes around be sure
to do your part selling tickets and or buying tickets.
